Hi Larry,
Are you using E-One's Smartlist Builder? If so what version? My first thought is you might have a build with a bug that causes this when null records are present.

This is exactly what I did, sorry I will send more detail the next time. Should I open a case with Microsoft on this one?
OK - so I have just tried the following and it doesn't work - so maybe this is a bug if this is also what you are doing.
Under Fixed Assets --> Fixed Assets in SmartList I have clicked on the * and added the column Extended Description. I then saved it as a new favourite.
I then added a Search Criteria of Extended Description contains 160 (a value I could see in mine) and the SmartList returned nothing.
If I didn't save it as a favourite, when I selected the search criteria, and clicked OK, it still returned nothing and it removed the Extended Description column.
I think maybe this is what Deanne was meaning about more information - it is helpful if you can tell us what you did in detail, then we can test and confirm if we are seeing the same thing.
