continuity of invoice no.s to that of sales order no.

Hi All,

I am facing a issue for which i want you to help me. The issue is

I have a SO with the invoice No. SO11_0011
now when i post a "Free text Invoice" it should take No. as SO11_0012
Is this possible in AX2009
if yes please let me know how to configure it.

Hi Vinod,

This is possible if you do setup the same number sequence as reference for both sales order invoices and free text invoices. The same is valid for credit invoices. So e.g. CUST-INV number sequence can be linked to multiple number sequence references.

Hi Vinod,

On the parameters form, tab number sequences, you can setup number sequences. To use the same free text invoice numbers, in the example below, the value Acco_3 should be replaced with Sale_69 which is also used for customer invoices.
