posting definition error: Transaction does not balance ...

Hi,

I read on technet that the following set up should work if I want any GL account to be a criteria:

- put Nothing (leave blank) the reconciliation criteria..

I also read that you can put a * in MainAccount to say 'all accounts' are to go throught the criteria. And it does not work at all. The system throws an error.

So now i have a problem where this rule is not working still, if i need to use all accounts as a criteria of reconciliation. But if I run this rule throught the TEST functionnality, it works fine. So where is my error? not sure where to check anymore.

(sorry it is in french, but we can understand)

2012 R3

P.S. i know that it is the posting definition the problem, because when i switch back to Posting profile, i can post without a problem.

    Hi veronika,

Why do you need a posting definition at all? Is this for comparison / testing purposes or do you plan to use it in a live environment?

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

My Customer needs it to balance out all invoices per cost center at the expense and balance sheet level.

Because now the vendor summary account takes the dimensions from the vendor and the expense lines take the dimensions from the product. So the information is diffrent per line for 1 single voucher. That is why they need the définitions of positions. So yes they will use it in LIVE.
