Budget Planning - error, "Field 'Responsibility center' must be filled in first"

Hi All,

When I looked up this error, there were suggestion that this is a security issue. So, I assigned Brad Sutton to the Budget Manager role and assigned him to USMF and USSI,

Apparently, this is not the solution; because the Responsibility center is still blank; I still have error. I've tried to add Budget Manager role to myself which is the System Admin, and assigned organization to my name, attach my name to the Budget plan preparer, result, error remains. Could someone please suggest on how to fix this? Thanks so much!

Hi,

The error means that a value is required to fill. In this case. there are two fields red marked for missing values. Can you tell us if the lookup is showing options or not and if Responsibility centers are configured in your environment?

Thanks, Andre', for your response. The Responsibility Center is blank in the drop down box. The Budget Plan name is the text field, I can just enter it; but the Responsibility Center is the complaint one.

Is the budget plan process correctly linked to your organization hierarchy?

Check the organization hierarchy to see the departement included and reponsable linked:

From the Human resource modules, check if the manager is enable to work in the legal entity:

Hi there set this to role

in the organization chart set the purpose to security and to user assign that organization.

Thanks, Salman, for your time of posting the screenshot. I will try these steps. Do you happen to have step-by-step document on how to setup the budget planning pulling from ledger? I have a hard time putting all the pieces together. Thanks so much!
