So we have ticket printers and label printers in our offices. Any one has experience sending data to this type of printers from Cloud Business Central?

For example, for retail sales, we print a Posted Sales Invoice to the ticket printer, so we need to send ESC/pos commands. Similar happense in our purchase orders, our users need to print item labels for the received goods.

I guess there is no direct way of sending esc/pos commands to a local printer.

We are thinking about doing the communication via web socket, not sure if there is something in business central we can use out of the box, or even if Business Central is capable of communicating with a websocket through a custom extension.

I appreciate any comments on this.

    Hi,

You can try Azure universal printer setting with the below link, see if it helps you.

    Hi
    I'm also stuck at this.
Did you try universal printer? Does it work for you?

I think your best option will be to use a cloud printing service like this one:
Universal print does not support label / pos printers.
There are also a couple of other providers avalible.

I use PrintNode to drive label printers from BC, using the free Insight Works PrintNode interface.
