Create multiple production orders from a single sales order

Hi Team,
 
Please advice how we can create multiple Production Order from One Sales Order Line. One of our customer wants to create multiple production order from one sales order line based on capacity / duration / Maximum Quantity in single production order etc. basis. Any help / reference is request. Thanks

    You can use the "Maximum Order Quantity" field on the Item > Planning tab to control the upper limit of Quantity on a Prod. Order (same thing applies to Purchase Orders, but doesn't make as much sense).
     
    For example, if the Sales Order Quantity is 1000, and the Item's Max. Order Quantity is 200, the Planning Worksheet will suggest five (5) Production Orders each for a Quantity of 200.
     
    This works with stock replenishment as well.  If your Reorder Quantity was 1000, again you would get five orders for 200 each.
     
    Just remember this is a Max. Order Quantity, it is not balancing the quantity across the orders.  If the SO quantity was 900, you would get suggestions for 4 Prod. Orders of 200 and 1 Prod. Order of 100.
