We are moving from AX to D365. In AX there is a table called Ledgertrans. Please can you provide me with the D365 equivalent table?
Hi Gill Holland,
LedgerTrans was replaced by other tables already in AX2012. MS has published a whitepaper about the topic: docs.microsoft.com/.../mapping-the-ledgertrans-table-to-general-journal-tables-white-paper
Thanks Nikolaos but I get a 404 error for that page? Is D365 the same as AX2012? Sorry we are on AX4.
That's strange. The link works for me - I just tried to click it in my previous reply and had no issues.
About your second question, AX2012 is not D365FO, they are two products. But D365FO is a "sequel" of AX2012. And what you will learn from the whitepaper will mostly apply to D365FO as well.
Thanks Nikolaos, a colleague managed to download for me and i shall now investigate it further. Apprecaite your help.
Hi Gill,
LedgerTrans, there's a blast from the past so I assume you're moving from AX2009.
In AX2012 they changed the GL structure to two tables, GeneralJournalAccountEntry and GeneralJournalEntry
My understanding is this structure was retained for D365.
The structure is maintained by joining the GeneralJournalAccountEntry table to the GeneralJournalEntry table using the GeneralJournalEntry RECID
