Hi,

We are having User Lookup field available on Opportunity entity view. Currently it is showing all users(Active/Inactive) when we tried using Filter By in View. We just wanted to show Active Users in Filter By. Can any one suggest how we can configure this in views?

RE: Customize column User Lookup Filter By on view

    Hi Vaishali,

    Unfortunately, it is currently impossible.

You can always see all users in the Filter By of User lookup field column in the view, and there is no filter configuration for it for now.

I would recommend you share this suggestion in Ideas.

RE: Customize column User Lookup Filter By on view

    Hi,

    Thank you for your query.

I am not sure if you need to apply filter on the form or a view.

1 - For form, if it is a custom lookup to user, you can set the look-up view using following steps:

    • Go to Advanced Settings -> Customizations -> Customize this System (or open your solution).
    • Expand Entities -> Opportunity -> Forms -> <open the form you use>.
    • Double click on the User lookup to open the field properties.
    • Under Additional Properties, Choose the View you need (for example, Enabled User, or you can create view Active Users and use it here).
    • Turn off the View selector, so users can't change it.

    • Click OK, Save the Form and Publish.

For views, you can apply filter as following:

    • Open the view and click on Edit Filter criteria.
    • Under Related, select Owning User (user) and apply filter Status = Enabled.

    • Save the view.
