Closing Quotes: Close Date is a day behind

Hello All,

we have problems with "actualend" column on "quoteclose" table in Dynamics Sales Hub application.

We are trying to close a quotation and the problem appears only when inserted date is different to current date.

I will try to explain the problem with an example. Imagine that we have completed the "actualend" column with "01/01/2022" value. It has 2 repercussions (how it is saved on database, and how it is displayed in the application)

- The value saved in database is the next one: "31/12/2021 22:00:44".
- The value displayed in Dynamics Sales Hub application is the next one: "31/12/2021" (instead of "01/01/2022")

We have read in other forum that Microsoft had similar issue in "opportunityclose" table, but that thread was from 2018 and in this moment that problem apparently is solved (because we have check it and the values are correct in our environments).

Has anybody any solution for this issue?

Thank you in advance.

Regards,

Joseba

    Hi Joseba,

It is most likely caused by the Time Zone set for the current user.

For example, I closed a quote with close date "01/01/2022".

The value of "actualend" saved in database is "2021-12-31T16:00:33Z" and the "actualend@OData.Community.Display.V1.FormattedValue" is "1/1/2022".

The latter one is the value that is actually displayed in Sales Hub.

Then I adjust the Time Zone to another one.

The "actualend@OData.Community.Display.V1.FormattedValue" turns to be "12/31/2021".

Also, the date in Sales Hub is "12/31/2021".

So you can adjust the Time Zone for the current login user in order to show the proper date.

    Here are the steps:

    • Select the gear icon in the upper right corner, then select “Personalization Options”:

    • Adjust your time zone in the General tab near the top:

    Hello Nya,

Thank you for your detailed answer. I have doubts related. How could be possible, that the same person in the same Time Zone, insert one value and obtain other one? And why the functionality is different in OpportunityClose VS QuoteClose?

    Best Regards,

    Joseba

    Hi Joseba,

It should have something to do with the way format is handled during development.

I have only been able to find a solution to the problem of incorrect display on Quote Close Activity so far.

You could raise a support ticket to MS for further help.
