Consume TMS Engine in D365FO from external application

Hi All,
 
Is that possible to consume the TMS engine in D365 from external application such as web ordering system?
 
If yes, are there any licensing involve?

    Hi, the TMS engine can be set up in Supply Chain Management to handle rate shopping and other transportation-related operations.

    Hi Judy,
     
    Yes, I know we can set up. However, my questions is, once we set up, is this engine can be expose to external application such as web ordering system to consume the calculation of freight charges? Or if we write our own custom TMS rate engine, external application can consume the services through API?
