Hello Experts!

I am continuing my learning experience with Commerce and I am finding the following issue.

I create a client and add it to the order
I complete the order

But even after syncrhonizing, I cannot see the clients that I ve created.

The Client is even created in Dynamics but I cant get the POS to list any clients.

Any ideas why?

Thanks!

    Hi Fernando,

Have you set up address books for the retail channels? See: Create a new address book - Commerce | Dynamics 365 | Microsoft Learn

Looks like you are using the async customer creation process, which basically means that the customers created in POS will not be updated in D365 in realtime and you have to follow the below process to sync those async customer records.

    1. Run P-0001 job and wait for the job to get applied.
    2. Once applied you can review the data sync status in the customer synchronization status form.
    3. You can select the record and click on Synchronise and choose either 'All' or 'Current record'.
    4. Once synchronised run 1010 job to push the synchorinised customer data to POS.
    5. Also you could automate the sync by running the P-0001, 1010 and Synchronise customers and channel requests batch jobs accordingly.

Also make sure the address book is mapped to the retail store and the same address book was assigned to the customer record which was created.

@S Gopi Krishna That was my first idea, but I ve already ran those batch jobs to synchronize but I still dont get the clients on the POS. Its so weird.

@André Arnaud de Calavon I tried to follow the documentation but I am not able to find the address books on the path described in there.
This is the path mentioned in the documentation

But when I open Dynamics, I cant find that. I am system admin.

I also tried searching for Address books forms that are related to the Retail module but I couldn't find anything

Any ideas? Thanks everyone for your guidance!

    Hi Fernando,

The documentation has an issue. You can find Address books by going to Organization administration > Global address book. Or use the search option in the top bar.
