Hello,
The "desktop" teams application supports "live captions" where the spoken word of all meeting participants is interpreted and written to the teams window such that one can read the responses of participants as well as listen to them. This is a great feature and works well. ( in the desktop teams client)
I have a deaf employee that I am supporting - it would be fantastic if the HoloLens Remote Assist app provided teh same "live captions" feature such that the deaf person could "read" the responses in real time while wearing the HoloLens - it appears that "live captions" is not supported in the HoloLens App? Can someone confirm this, and possibly suggest alternatives?
As an alternative method, I tried an experiment where the HoloLens User joined a teams meeting using the on-device edge browser rather than the actual RA HoloLens App...while the user was able to join the meeting via the browser, and the audio and video worked....again the "live captions" option was not offered under the "three dots" teams menu option (as it IS available in the desktop teams app)
I should say that we are running Remote Assist on Microsoft GCC HIGH cloud - our regular teams meetings also likely run on GCC HIGH
thanks for any input on this?
