My organisation is going to be upgrading to Windows 7 and GP 10 in the near future, and as such, we're looking for a replacement for Vision, which we currently use to create and update refreshable reports in Excel. We believe that Vision is no longer supported, won't work with Windows 7, and may or may not work with GP 10.
We create a wide range of reports based on general ledger, purchase ledger and sales ledger, and containing either balances for GL accounts or suppliers, or lists of transactions.
We tested F9, but it didn't have the function to automatically create reports containing lists of transactions; it involved a lot of manual work and drilling down to get to the information we wanted. As we have a lot of internal customers using Vision at the moment, we don't want to replace it with a system which will be more cumbersome for them to use.
Does anyone have any suggestions for possible replacement systems, or has anyone had similar issues?
