I have built a Development SharePoint 2010 site. I have Dynamics SL and FRx installed with live (copied) data from the production system. The Development server is running W2K8 Ent R2 SP1, SQL Server Ent 2008 R2 SP2 and SharePoint 2010 SP1.
When I try to install Business Portal, I get a pop-up stating:
The following Errors were Found with the selected Site:You must be the site administrator to complete the install.
The installation of SharePoint 2010, Dynamics SL2011 and FRx 6.7 was done with the SP_Admin domain user. (I even made it a domain admin user as well). This user id is listed as a site administrator in SharePoint for the default site. I even tried to create a new site, but same results.
The site is a Team Site.Any idea how to get moving forward from this error?

I have the same question (0)Dear Bill,
Hello my name is Jana. I found this issue/resolution for you to check
SYMPTOMS
When you try to install Business Portal for Microsoft Dynamics SL 2011 or 2011 Service Pack 1, you receive the following error:
You must be the site administrator to complete the install
CAUSE
The sharepoint site is set up to use Claims Based Authentication. Claims Based Authentication does not work with Business Portal and is not supported.
RESOLUTION
Switch the sharepoint site to use Classic Authentication or create a new sharepoint site that uses Classic Authentication and install Business Portal to that site.
