Deploying two packages in Test

Hi,

I have asked to deploy two packages in D365 Test environment. first one is the software package and second one is license package. I need to deploy the software package first and license package second.

I Plan to do this steps. please correct me.

1) Upload the software package to the Asset library

2) Upload the license package to the Asset library

3) Click Maintain > Apply updates. Select the first package then apply. Once the status change to Deploy , Again Select the license package and click Apply.

Is this correct Or I can click two package at a time and click Apply.

You can not select two package at same time . You have to deploy one by one.

But you can add the license file in the other deployable package, just put the license .txt file in Scripts/License folder inside the deployable package. This way you can deploy everything on one go.

Or just add the Azure DevOps task to your build or release definition to add the license to the package when you're creating it.

Hi Manivannan,

You are correct, you have to deploy one by one if you already uploaded to Asset library, it's not allowed to merge.
