Does exist a manner to execute a cost adjustment for a complete purchase receiving?

Tools->Utilitiies->Inventory->Adjust Cost. This will allow you to select a PO receipt and change the cost. It will also go off and locate any sales orders that use this item and adjust its cost as well. It will create a journal entry. You may want to run a backup first or do this is a test company first.

This comes from real life experiences. I just explain to my clients that what they are doing is just correcting what should have occurred in the first place had the goods been received at the correct price. It does get harried sometimes when they do not find the error until after their fiscal year end close and all the financial reports have been submitted to their accountants. Oh, the joys of being a consultant.

It adjusts the cost of a receipt layer. What do you mean 'costs related to a BOM'?

What I think LJGregory is asking is if the cost adjustment made to one of the components of an assembly will update the cost of the assembly.

I have created a separate security role for user on Adjust Cost window. But when user update the cost, it run the process correctly but also displays error message "Not privileged to run this report". I don't know which report to add in user security role.Can you please help me out.
