Unable to set Price List and Currency on Quote Via Javascript

Hi All,

Is there any way that I can set both the currency and price list on a quote via javascript WITHOUT getting the "Review all the money fields in the form before you continue" prompt, that upon clicking "OK" clears the value of my currently selected price list?

What I have done is on create of a new quote, once the end-user selects "Potential Customer" I have a function that fires that will first retrieve the currency from the customer, and then retrieve the default price list for that customer from the account record.  It sets both lookup's without issue, but on save, I get the above message and then upon clicking "OK", the price list field is wiped out forcing the user to look it up again.

I'm using CRM 2016 on-premise.

Cheers,

Sean.

    How about this approach:

    - when Potential Customer changes, set the currency field. You always have to save the record after changing the currency.

    - onLoad, if currency is set and price list is not, set the price list (from the customer), so after the save and reload, you are good to go.

    Adam,

I like this approach.  Let me try tonight/tomorrow morning and get back to you.

Thanks for taking the time.  Will follow up tomorrow.

    Sean.

    Hi Adam,

Looks like this approach works.  I didn't take it the full distance yet, but our base currency is USD which is populated OOB by default.  I went ahead and selected a customer with USD and it allowed save of the record without issue.

Thanks for helping me get there.

    Cheers,

    Sean.

    Hi Sean,

I know this was over year ago, but I've just come across this issue and have attempted to resolve based on Adam's suggestion but without success.

Do you have any additional pointers on how you got this implemented?

    Thanks,

    Phil.
