Hi,
I have a client running GP2013 SP2. They want to start emailing check remittances and I have done the email setup for them. However, they are running 64 bit Office without Exchange so I am using MAPI in the System Preferences window for email. I am receiving the message that there is no MAPI compliant email program setup because of the issue with 64 bit Office and emailing. They would like to purchase 32 bit Office but they are no longer able to get Office 2013 and 2016 is the only option for purchase.. I know that Office 2016 is not supported by Microsoft for GP 2013 but I am checking to see if anyone is running Office 2016 for email and if it will work for my client prior to them purchasing it. I have seen online that some people have it installed but they are using it for exporting from Smartlist but not emails.
Thanks

Hi TracySam,
That won't work.. you have to use an Office 2016 32-bits in order to work with GP, which is also a 32-bits apps.. I'm using GP2013R2 and have Office 2016 installed on my computer and the MAPI calls are working fine, but it's the 32-bits version.
PS: you mentionned that they don't use Exchange .. do they have an Office365 subscription ? then you could download and install the Office suite on the computers where it is required without any additional costs.
