Filtering by Segment Members not working

Hi,

I have the following issue:

I need to export a list of contacts belonging to a specific segment, including the following fields: First name, last name, email, country, company, job title.

when I go to the list of members within this specific segment, I see the following columns (full name, email, company phone and company name):

Those are also the fields that I see in the final export file when I export the contacts from a segment view, and i cannot find a way to add additional columns in the segment view.

So I tried to go via the contact tab. i added there additional columns:

And then I tried to set an additional filter based on SegmentMember:

However, no matter which segment I choose, I always get a message: no data available.

At the moment, the only ways I found to solve this:

- Download all the contacts from the contacts list, download the list of members from the segment view and add the missing columns via a vlookup, OR

- Recreate all the conditions that were used in the segments in the contact tab, and then do the export. However, the segments might have quite a long list of conditions set, so recreating this once again is very annoying

I would expect filtering by segment member and / or adding columns in the segment view to be  a very basic filtering functionality. so I am wondering why it is not working - if I am doing something wrong or is this a bug?

and are there any other simple and quick ways to export (or even just view) the list of contacts belonging to a specific segment with the columns that I need to see?

Thanks!

Regards

    Hi,

You just need to add the columns into the view - "Segment members" of the Contact entity.

So that you can export the list from the segment directly.

Thanks! I am not quite sure how did you get to the view in the screenshot above. Could you please explain where do I find these settings? or is it something that can be done only by admins? I am an end user with no admin rights and have access only to Dynamics Marketing itself.

    Hi,

It can be found by navigating to Advanced Settings > Settings > Customizations > Customize the system.

And yes, it needs to be customized by the system administrator.

Thanks! I previously went to the advanced settings but I do not have those options as I do not have admin rights. I will contact the system administrator then - thanks a lot!
