Hello.
New to the forum and we are just setting up our Business Central, (we currently have NAV 2013).
I wonder if it's possible to have two different extra texts on the same item for the purchase order.
In this case I want specifications for a product in one text and I want the second text to contain bar codes.
The reason I want separate texts is that this would simplify the process of creating these barcodes and the whole process of setting the up all the way from Business central to further use in Adobe Creative suite in a later stage.
I also want to mention that there is a item reference table in Business Central specially designed to handle barcodes so maybe you should look into using that standard functionality as well.
Thank you for this, but my problem is that I want to add an extra extra text, that is my question.
The Description 2 is not enough for the extra texts or licence code I need to specify.
So I want 1 extra text, several lines, for the purchase order. (This is s specification of the product to the producer)
Then I want another extra text that appears on both purchse and sales orders (this is a licence code for the prioduct that needs to be both on sales and purchase orders.)
Which means that there would be 2 different extra texts on the purchase order.
I could solve ths by adding the licence code also to the pucrchase extra text, but I woyuld rather only have to only add it once.

Hi, I'm not sure if this will do what you want. There is also Description 2 available in the standard, you can add it to the page and modify it.
Hope this helps as well.
Thanks.

The use of extended text is the most standard way to complete this. Here is the documentation on that feature: learn.microsoft.com/.../ui-how-define-ext-text
