When I go to Check for Tax Updates nothing happens. The window to choose automatic or manual never comes up. The system acts like it is going to do something but the window never comes up. Any ideas?

The script is designed to revert to the DYNAMICS database so you can run it against any database and it will update the DYNAMICS database. Good luck!

I have tried running it on other workstations but not my server. I will try that. If this doesn't work then I will do it manually in SQL. Do I run the script against the Dynamics database? Thank you!

Have you tried to run this on your server or another workstation? You can always go to CustomerSource and download the cab file and perform a manual upgrade. The cab file simply contains the SQL script that updates the tax tables. Run the script inside SQL and the tables will be updated.

I am logged in as SA. I've never had this issue before. The problem comes in when we do the Check for updates in order to implement round 1 of the 2012 tax code changes – the pop up window that allows you to choose Auto or Manual doesn’t come up – without that window we can’t even access the 2012 file manually or automatically. Is there any other way for me to apply this update without using the system? Thank you!

Have you attempted to access this window logged on as 'sa' or just your regular user?
If you haven't tried accessing this logged on as 'sa' try this.
