Update Storage, Product & Tracking dimensions for items in WBS

Am facing difficulty in updating the Storage dimensions for item in WBS. I have imported the WBS Schedules and cost estimates with the help of Data entity available in standard, but the dimensions for the items updated via cost estimates should be done manually. As my clients data has 100's of items in a particular project, it is difficult to update the product and storage dimensions manually.

Is there any solution for importing the dimensions for the items? either a data entity or a job code which can simplify the master update task.

Awaiting for any suggestions/solutions.

Hi Deepa,

The standard data entity does not allow you updating the invent dimensions, such as site, warehouse and other product dimensions.

That is because you would have to import the data into the PSAactivityestimate and related tables.

For this one there is no entity available.

However, you can realize the import with the help of electronic reporting.

I am currently working on a blog post about this exact topic that illustrates you how the upload works.

If this is very urgent then ask a developer for some help.

if it's just u[dating tracking and storage dimension at item level then could use data entity 'released products v2

Hi Rahul,

As I understand it it is specific to the upload into the WBS.

Once the WBS is filled you can select a details button and enter the item into this form.

from there you can then navigate to the product and storage dimension via the respective button and enter/update the values.

To my knowledge there is not entity available that goes until that level but ER can do that.
