Inventory Quantity on Hand

Is there a screen (or field) in SL that shows the inventory quantity on hand that considers items on open shippers and from purchase orders?

The inventory availability screen (21.410.00) shows On Hand, but that number includes items on open shippers and purchase orders which means they truly are not on hand to use.

Example:  Part 123 has 25 On Hand, 5 on Shippers, and 10 from POs.  The truer QOH should be 10 (25 less 5 and l0).

Thoughts?

    Hi,

You can get those kind of Qty break up details in "Quantities" tab under the Inventory Items (10.25.00) screen.

Else for more details you can use the Inventory Item Lookup(10.210.00) under Inquiries menu in Inventory Module. Simply select the Item ID and click the Availability button to view the Qty on Hand, Qty on Shippers, Qty on Purchase Orders and so on..

    Thanks & Regards

It might also be interesting to check out the "Scheduling" tab of the Inventory Setup screen.   When customer priority scheduling is turned off, then you can set your own options in the calculation of "Qty Available".    You could choose to "Include Purchase Orders" and to "Deduct Open Shippers", but not deduct "All sales orders".    If you choose to implement this, you'll need to stop and start process manager to correctly rebuild the Qty available values.

    Best regards,
