GS1-128 label print on SSRS report(Prod picking list)

Hi,

Our customer has a requirement where we need to print a label in GS1-128 format. i have extended the standard class BarcodeEAN128 to be able to insert AI codes 91,92, 93. Problem is that we are unable to scan the barcode generated. somehow Ax does not encode these new codes correctly, hence the barcode is unreadable. i have tried to verify both with a barcode scanner and through some online services. I am starting to think that maybe encoding of GS1-128 labels available in standard Ax is not complete hence in more advance requirements we might need to use 3rd party tools.

Barcode Example:  91 TE1001926 92 G4US DMD Machine 93 10

Barcode format: (91)TE1001926 (92) G4US DMD Machine (93) 10

                              (91)Item Id       (92) Description                  (93)Qty

The barcode scanner we are using can read standard formated barcodes made after GS1-128 standards.

any help would be admired..

Thanks

If you think, the encoding is incorrect, you can check the value at the variable 'barcodeStr' in the class method BarcodeEAN128.encode().

Alternately, there might not be the right font setup in the corresponding machines. (Report server, client)

we have managed to solve this issue through a third party DLL libarary. we generate barcode as a jpeg and just paste into our ssrs report. our customer also had a specially made barcode which Ax were'nt able to encode correctly.

correct barcode format our customer were using is follow where "!" exclamation character is used as the break character.

    913014092!92Screw DIN 912!935,00!94B1!
