Pre-sales Consultant - Dynamics 365

Posted on by 2

Hey Friends,

I'm seeking career advice within the Dynamics ecosystem. Currently, I'm working as a Solutions/Pre-sales Consultant and am looking to transition into a role focused on Dynamics 365 CRM/CE. Given my pre-sales experience, I am considering specializing as a D365 Pre-sales Consultant. However, I've noticed that there aren't many roles specifically for Pre-sales D365 Consultants. Most opportunities are for Functional Consultants or Solution Architects, which differ from the pre-sales role.

I would appreciate any expert advice on the best path forward. While I don't have experience with D365 yet, I am pursuing certifications in CRM Fundamentals and Functional Customer Service.

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!

TIA xxx

    Hi There,

I began my career as an accountant before discovering the low-code/no-code world, which led me to explore Dynamics 365 CRM. There's a wealth of material available on Microsoft Learn, and while it may be familiar territory for those with presales experience, it was a new and exciting journey for me.

I've recently started a YouTube channel aimed at helping professionals like you who are considering a career switch. The channel features content specifically tailored to beginners in Dynamics 365 Sales, and I regularly post videos to share my insights and experiences.

You're welcome to subscribe to my channel to stay updated on new content and to start your own learning journey. I also highly recommend exploring Microsoft Learn and pursuing a few certifications, as this approach helped me transition into my current role as a functional consultant.

I hope this answer provides you with some helpful guidance.
