Moving a managed form from one CRM environment to another

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Hello Forum,

We have discovered that one of our forms has been deleted in our Development environment and we do not know how to restore it (or who did it). One idea was to export it from our UAT environment where the form still exists. The only problem is that the form is managed and doesn't appear to be imported. Is there any way to either restore this form or import it from another environment?

Thanks!

Create a new solution in your UAT, add that form to the solution, export it as unmanaged and import it in your dev environment.

After that you can delete both your temporary solutions.

Hi Christian, ideally if you have an export copy of your Unmanaged solution the you could use that. If you have only a managed solution copy, there is a way of converting it to Unmanaged, but it is not supported community.adxstudio.com/.../2014-01-17-converting-crm-solutions-from-managed-to-unmanaged

Let me know if I can help further

    Best Wishes, Raz
