Hi,

Can someone help me out knowing permissions/privileges that required for the user to import data.

Hi Mohammed,

You can go to security ->Security Role ->Select any security role/OR Created your own Security Rule ->Click on core Record ->In OMR sheet you can find Data Import.

Their you can Assign the Access level for Data Import.

Hi Mohammed,

in order to import data, the user needs to have access (read and write) to the entities the data has to be imported

Hi Mohammed,

You need a few extra privileges in your security role to be able to import data. Under core records, you need Data Map, Data Import and Import Source File (all options to at least user level). I have 'Read' set to organization level for all three in my instance.

In addition, in the Customization tab, you need organization level access to system jobs.

what about the web wizard ,web wizard access privilege,web page ..???

For Web Wizard, Web Wizard Access Privilege and Wizard page you need rights as well (only organization is possible) - but not specifically for importing data.

Read and write permission is not sufficient. I have 2 lookup columns that the user cannot import data for. One of the columns, the user imported the data. The user can see and update the lookup values. The import still fails with a permissions issue on these 2 columns.

This isn't sufficient. User has organization level permissions and can see all lookup values. Import still fails with permissions issue.
