Hi
We currently have 26 application dbs, each one is running Process Manager in an individual RDp session.
Due to internal process change, the server hosting the RDp sessions is likely to be rebooted every couple of weeks, the prospect of logging in and starting 26 process managers every two weeks does not fill me with joy.
In looking for solutions to this, setting up Process Manager users, changing SL to Window Authentication and having Process Manager AutoStart at Windows login is looking quite good.
Does anyone know if i change SL to Windows Authentication the change will have to be applied to all users in SL, or can it be mixed with the current users logging in using a separate SL password? So i can just have the Process Manager users set up with Windows Authentication.
Also, would setting up and running Process Manger users take up any licences? I read that running Process Manager does not use a licence, but not 100% certain on that.
Any other ideas on how to have process manager run automatically would also be appreciated.
Thank you for your help
Ian

Hi Ian,
Switching to Windows Auth is an all or nothing setting. However, if you want the users to still login with a password you can specify that in User Maintenance in SL 2011 and higher. If you have Process Manager start when Windows starts, you will still need to press the Start button on the PM screen. Not sure how you are going to handle that.
You are correct that PM doesn't use up a license.
Let me know how else we can assist.
