We have a base salesperson security roles set up so that people can read all accounts but they can only see their own activities against an account not everyone's activities.

However as the owner of the account i thought that they should be able to see all of the activities created, but when testing it seems they can only see records that are created after they are assigned the owner.

We are set up for Cascading to be none for assign as we don't want the existing owner records changing when assigned to a new owner however we do want the owner to be able to see all records on the account

A work around seems to be to Share the account with the owner, but this seems like a lot of excessive work, and thinking I might have a setting wrong somewhere along the way.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Hi Mbentick,

Please check if the Read permission of Activity in the salesperson security role is Organization level.

If not, then they indeed cannot see the activities of all users.
