I have not seen anything to indicated GP 2013 is supported on SQL 2012 SP1.

Has anyone else?

I haven't seen anything, but I do have it running on 2012 sp1

Turns out it was a bad zip file extraction.

Over the last few years I have found that SQL Server service packs almost never get added to the 'supported' list for GP. Or, if they do, it's typically a very long time after the service pack comes out.

That said, I've not seen a SQL Server service pack cause a GP issue in a very long time, probably not since SQL 2000.
