Permission issue with Dynamics / Sharepoint online integration

Our dynamics CRM Online (365) is integrated with Sharepoint online for storing documents related to accounts.

We have permissions setup so that employees can only see account records that they "own" in Dynamics. But in Sharepoint online, the subsite used for Dynamics integration is open to everyone. So people can see documents for accounts that don't belong to them!

A consultant we used said a few years ago that this was an issue with Sharepoint integration that MS would fix in the future.

Is there any easy way to solve this issue now? Even if it just means "hiding" the Dynamics sharepoint-subsite in Sharepoint Online.

I used once third-party solution for that:

And it worked as expected. There is a free trial, so you can test if it will work as desired in your environment

Hi River,

The SharePoint integration will provide security for anyone that has access to the SharePoint library to view the documentation by default. One option here that you might want to look at, which may or may not work in your situation is to leverage One Drive for Business integration for the private documents.
