Cycle Counting Being A Distributor With Constant Moving Inventory

Hi we have been on GP2010 R2 for roughly 3 years now and cannot figure out the best way to utilize cycle counting. We are a distributor that conducts business both as Everyday items as well as seasonal/holiday driven items. It is never been fully explained to us how it is possible to do cycle counts when our inventory is constantly coming in/going out so right now we shut down and do a physical inventory 1 time a year. We seem to still have an extreme amount of inventory transactions to adjust items that are found to be incorrect on the fly. I know we are not taping into the powerful tool of GP like we could be, we seem to be running in circles at this point. A point in the right direction would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

How many items are you managing in your warehouse(s) Katie?  How many times a year does your inventory turn?
