Has anyone been able to export the processing groups from the Data Import/Export Framework with selected fields to different environments?  If so, what is the best way to do this?

    Hi,

Yes you can export all DMF tables with the original Import/Export utility available in the system administration menu,

If you only want to export the processing groups, you need to find which tables are used in the form and the background (field links, default values etc)

You could also consider creating a new entity for the processing group only. But be aware that the contents of the processing group and source data formats can be setup different in each environment. So probably you need more that only the processing groups.

Have a look at my blog to have some more background information on the export and import. The blog was used to have DIXF upgraded from previous versions to CU7, but it also describes the ways of exporting DMF data.

I have created numerous processing groups in the TEST environment.  I am trying to move those processing groups with the fields I specified in TEST to the STATIC environment rather than having to rebuild the processing groups in each environment.

    Hi,

You will need to transfer the setup tables. These tables start with "DMF", but do not end with "Entity". You can create a import/export definition group with these tables as mentioned earlier.

The fact you are telling us that you need to have the processing groups, I think copy all setup would be best as you can have changed settings in target entities as well.
