Bar-code label printing.

Hi All,

I am trying to configure barcode printing for items while doing the product receipt in ax 2012 r2 and I have done the below setups in ax but I am facing some errors can anyone help me to solve them.

1. I have created a Layout Design and converted to a Text file.
2. The Barcode Printer has been added to the AOS server to print the Barcode.
3. New Document Routing Layout for Product barcode and Shelf Stickers created.
4. All the fields have been mapped to the text file which has been added to the Document Routing Layout form.

But when I try to print the labels form the receipt I am not able to print the barcodes.

And the system opens up the below form.

Can anyone help me that what setup I am missing in this?

    HI Nandhini,

    Well you have done setup for label printing in advance warehouse module and the place you are trying to print them is not for advance warehouse operations.

    Your setup for document routing is correct but by clicking print product labels and expect them to be printed is different.

    Product labels and License plate labels are different. You have setup license plate label and trying to print a product label.

    You need mobile device simulator (Mobile device) to receive the purchase order and then you will get the License plate label printed.

    Setup work template, Locations directives and wave templates to get stuff working further.

    Hi Nandhini,

    If you do not have any experience with advance warehousing refer white paper and focus on setting up work template with a print step in it and location directives.

    You also need to configure mobile device if its not done already.

    Once you have done the setup for above receive purchase order using mobile device and label will be printed as you pick and put the items.
