Copy folders out of Document location

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

We have some folders that were created in the Document location and I need to copy all items in these folders to say my desktop or server. I don't currently see any option to copy folders or multiple documents at one time, I even opened the location in SharePoint and cant do it there either. Is there an easy way to do this or am I stuck with MS only allowing me to copy one file at a time?

Thanks!

Yes, that will work. I was hoping for a simpler solution as with the 2016 version I have what seems to be double the amount of clicking I am doing to do the same things as in the 2013 version.

    Thanks!

That's something you should be able to do with open in file explorer.

Have a look at this video to see if we're talking about the same feature:

Thanks, but that still not doing what I need, unless I am missing something.

We don't have OneDrive so that not an option.

Even when I open the libraries in file explorer I can only download one file at a time. I need an option to be able to do something like "drag and copy" the full folder or multiple files to a different location that is not within CRM or SharePoint.

Please have a look at this page:

    support.office.com/.../Ways-to-work-with-site-library-files-in-File-Explorer-751148de-f579-42f9-bc8c-fcd80ccf0f53;rs=en-US&ad=US

SharePoint supports openening libraries in file explorer or you could sync your files with OneDrive sync and rearrange them there.
