WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN ADVANCE ACCOUNTING RULE AND ACCOUNTING STRUCTURE
*This post is locked for comments
Hi omhari,
In a nutshell, companies need to define an account structure where they specify which financial dimensions are used or have to be used when specific ledger accounts are used.
Example:
When people record travel costs, a cost center and a department financial dimension need to be entered. On the other hand side, if you make a posting on a bank account, only a cost center needs to be entered but the department financial dimension can be left blank.
The advanced rule structures allow you specifying that additional financial dimensions need to be recorded based on conditions that you define.
When people record travel costs for a project, the project financial dimension needs to be recorded.
Hope that answers your question.
Best regards,
Ludwig
