Good Day -
SL 2015 is supported and compatible with Office D365 - Excel. It is not clear the issue when asking how to link D365 Excel.
If you already have an on-prem Office installed on your workstations, SL will default use to that install. In order for SL to use the D365 version, the on-prem needs to be uninstalled and cleaned from the workstation. Once uninstalled and cleaned from the machine, install the D365 Office components. Once installed SL will use the new Office install. If there are issues, you might need to uninstall and re-install SL to pickup the newer Office .dll files.
Please note the "clean" step. We have had a few cases in support where the uninstall of the local Office install is not enough due to orphaned Office registry entries left behind after the un-install. These can be cleaned out using the Office Removal Tool.

I hope this helps.
Thank you,
