RE: Custom sales import tool - please check logic

The problem is that I need to update a few tables, with data from many while eConnect is designed to update many tables with just a little information. That stated, after a lot of research, I'm using eConnect  stored procedures. In some cases they are much simpler than creating the same logic. They are also basically best practices, as most GP developers prefer to use them.

I truly appreciate your taking the time to answer.

My comment is that I would always choose to go through eConnect API or similar, as there is so much hidden business logic behind values supplied, that direct to table integrations can fall foul of.

It only takes someone to start doing something slightly differently somewhere else in the system for it to have a negative impact on the integration.

    Tim.
