Hi,

I have a plugin and I want to update it,

But when I do it with the Registration Tool I get an error:

ERROR: Occurred while checking whether the assembly exists

Also when I try to create a new plugin I get this error.

What does it means?

Thanks!!!

Did you try to get another copy of plugin registration tool and check that.

I don't understand what do you ask me.

I try to get another copy of my plugin through the registration tool.

    And I get the error,

And only when I unRegister the plugin And register it again it

    s work.

what can I do for next time?

    Thanks!!

So I had the same error. I thought it was a class we deleted from the plugins project that we forgot to delete from the plugins definition in CRM.

Turns out it's the version number we tried to change to this, in the AssemblyInfo.cs:

    [assembly: AssemblyVersion("1.19.*")]

    [assembly: AssemblyFileVersion("1.19.0.0")]

Since the File Version changed, CRM was not able to recognize the dll at all. Restoring it to the latest version fixed it.

    [assembly: AssemblyVersion("1.0.*")]

    [assembly: AssemblyFileVersion("1.0.0.0")]

PS: Deleting the hole dll with the Plugin Restoration Tool works too. But do it only if you are sure your RegisterFile.crmregister is pristine.

    Hi,

Can you unRegister the plugin and register it again?

    Refer this:

    Good luck!
