Can SharePoint be integrated with Dynamics CRM so SharePoint alerts and notifications are sent through Dynamics CRM?. If so, how?

you could setup document integration and then create an alert in Sharepoint.

The OOB CRM - SharePoint integration is used to manage files. I don't think you can show SharePoint alerts/ notifications in CRM. You would need to build something custom to achieve this.
