    Hi,

Steps to create a Hierarchy with already created users:
    1. Go to Microsoft 365 Admin Center.
    2. From the left navigation pane, select Users.
    3. Ensure that all CRM users you want to include in the forecast are active.
    4. For example, suppose Sarah Nicholson is the manager of John Jadwer, Liam Payne and Jonas Khanwald and you need to set up a hierarchy for them.
    • Open John Jadwer’s user profile → scroll to the ‘Manager’ field → select Add Manager

→ search for and choose Sarah Nicholson → Save the changes. This assigns Sarah as John’s manager.

    • Repeat the same process for Liam Payne and Jonas Khanwald, setting Sarah Nicholson as their manager.

    1. This creates the following hierarchy:
                   Sarah Nicholson (Sales Manager)
                   → John Jadwer (Sales Rep)
                  → Liam Payne (Sales Rep)
                  → Jonas Khanwald (Sales Rep)

Once the hierarchy is set up, you can proceed to create the forecast.
The hierarchy would look like this:

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks!

    Hi,

To create a forecast in Dynamics 365, you need to configure it under App Settings → Performance management → Forecast configuration. Here are the key steps:

    1. Select a Template

      • You can start from scratch or use the sample forecast configuration provided by Microsoft.

    2. Define the Forecast Model

      • Choose whether the forecast is based on revenue or quantity.

      • Set the time period and scheduling options.

    3. Configure the Hierarchy

      • Select the hierarchy type (e.g., Manager hierarchy or a custom hierarchy).

      • This determines how data rolls up from individual sellers to managers.

    4. Set Access Permissions

      • Assign security roles to control who can view or edit the forecast.

    5. Configure Columns and Layout

      • Decide which metrics (e.g., quota, actuals, pipeline) appear in the forecast grid.

    6. Manage Drill-Down Entities

      • Define which entities users can drill into for detailed analysis.

    7. Activate the Forecast

      • Once configured, activate it and upload quota data if needed.

    8.

After activation, users in the defined hierarchy can view and interact with the forecast in the Sales Hub → Forecasts area.[1]

Could you check if these steps help you set up the forecast and hierarchy as required?

    Thanks and best regards,

    Daniele
