Remove/Manage My Reports

ReportReport
Posted on by

I know this is likely an elementary question for all the guru's but how in the heck do I remove a report that was added from a smartlist favorite? We are still doing some testing and through the migration the link to the old smartlist is broken but the report still shows in the report list which is what I want to remove. Thanks in advance.

When your mouse is on the window for any of sections, like My Reports, some options are available.  Click on the pencil like in the screen shot below:

Then after you select one or more reports (check the box), then Remove From will be available.  Click it.

Lastly you will need to refresh the page, then they'll be gone from the list.

On the top right of GP, click this:

    Thanks for your prompt reply.

That works for the reports connected to valid smartlists but my issue is it shows a report name in "my reports" that doesn't have a valid smartlist associated with it. The problem report name doesn't show in the list of the steps you provided above.

You may have to remove the bad report from SQL.  The SQL below should help you find and delete the bad report name.

    Select * from DYNAMICS..SY70700

Where USERID = 'XXX'  --  Enter the GP Login ID Here

and MyReportName = 'YYYYYYYYYYYYY'  --  Enter the Report Name Here

    Delete DYNAMICS..SY70700

Where USERID = 'XXX'  --  Enter the GP Login ID Here

and MyReportName = 'YYYYYYYYYYYYY'  --  Enter the Report Name Here

As a follow up to Rick Hollis,

Once you clear the SY70700 table, the following steps should get you back to where you want to be:

Apparently something went wrong. After following the steps from Rick, a number of users can no longer log into that specific database. I can log into other companies but when trying to access the TEST database it immediately says I am already logged in even after deleting my login from the user activity via the SA login. Any thoughts or help is greatly appreciated. It is almost like we have to restore that table where we deleted the row from?

If we remove the rights to access this company "TEST" and add them back it seems to correct the issue but you have to establish all the security setup again. Is there a better way to fix whatever is broke that you know of?
