Hello everyone,
I'm working for a company that once tried to use business central, but was having trouble with some things and abandoned it. Resulting in them going through Dynamics 365's CRM for most things. But now they want to utilize it again and gave me the logon information for their old business central account. I see that there's some data in there mixed in with seemingly random test data, so I was wondering, what's the best way to approach this? There's a notification on the main page that all their data will be deleted in 14 days as the trial has ended, which I think is fine as the data in it seems to be junk. Do I just start from scratch and follow the Microsoft Business Central data migration guide? I'm not really sure how to tackle this as I'm relatively new to Microsoft's ecosystem.
Thank you.
hi,
For this you should purchase License for doing these type of activities.

Hi and welcome to the BC world.
First of all i think you should quire a license so you do not risk losing your real data.
When you get your license you can go to the admin center and create a new production environment and designated sandbox environment for testing.
Please refer to this doc on how to manage your BC enviornments.
