Dear All, Is there any option to view on hand & shortage components of a BOM at a point? (On hand component list for a BOM) EG:  In order to produce 10 Z = 20 X is Req. & 10 Y is Req.          X & Y are raw material.           Z is finished product. While producing 10 “Z”, where I need to surf for on hand & shortage list of components X & Y. (other than navigating to on-hand button under Item master for single item).

Thanks in advance,

    Hello,

You can create a record in the form:

Inventory management > Common Forms > > BOM (button) > Max. report as finished

Perhaps the data on this form will be sufficient.

     Regards,

    Sebastian

    It is really useful.

May i know how does explosion parameter helps here. I changed the setting from never to always & to shortage but i could not see any difference.

    Thanks & Regards,

    Seetharaman

    Hello,

You may notice a difference if you have more than one BOM level.

    Explosion parameter :

    • Never – underlying BOMs are not exploded when there is a material shortage.

    • Always – all underlying BOMs are fully exploded.

    • When shortage – underlying BOMs are only exploded if the quantity of the material that you want is not fully available.

    Regards,

    Sebastian

    Hello,

However, in version 2009 I found a problem on this form, I hope that Microsoft will improve it.

    "

    Path:

Inventory management > Common Forms > Item details -> BOM -> Max. report as finished

I noticed that the system always gives the number of available stocks in accordance with one of the stores with one specific production unit (from active route).

All lines for the components of the BOM version have selected the parameter Work center consumption ...

I have a lot of BOM and many routes.

What if I want to do a simulation for other routes?

Now I have to change the route activation ...
