Trigger Javascript on click of expand button from timeline of activity

I am looking for a method to get the number of clicks on expand button of activity from timeline.
 
I see there are no supported methods from microsoft, but if anyone have any idea if we can call a javascript function on click of expand button of activity from timeline that would be really helpful.

    I'd use MutationObserver and attach counter and rest service or cookie to handle that.
