Hi All

I am looking to configure "New Activities". Currently I am seeing "Task", "Phone Call", "Fax ", "Email", "Booking Alert", "Campaign Response" etc.

I do not need to display "Booking Alert" and "Campaign Response". Is there a way to hide these?

Thank you in advance.

Regards

I have the same question (0)

    Hi Rupesh,

Where exactly do you want to hide these activities "Booking Alert" and "Campaign Response" on the UI, is it on command bar/ribbon or on the social pane/timeline activities. If you're looking to hide these activities from social pane you can filter the activities that you want to display in the social pane tab properties.

    Hope this helps!

    Hi Rupesh,

You can try editing the SiteMap to hide the activities, in this way, these options don’t appear in the navigation views. This is the OOB way to hide the activities.

    Hope this helps!

    Sanjana

Please go through the below article :https://www.powerobjects.com/blog/2014/03/24/what-to-do-with-unwanted-activity-types-in-dynamics-crm/

I personally prefer Option 1 & 2 from this link.

    Hi Chintan,

I tried using ribbon workbench but I am not able to see where to hide. It was not visible in ribbon. Can you please help in what to select?

Thank you Samira for your answer but I am not looking for this.

Here is the screenshot where I am looking for:

Since I am new to dynamics 365. I was following the earlier thread to implement using ribbon workbench but I could not find what to hide. Even JS would be a good solution but I am not getting where to start from.

Try removing the permissions for that entity then I think it will not show up.

You need to add "Booking Alert" and "Campaign Response" in the solution, open that solution in ribbon workbench and customize the sub grid ribbon for these entities if you want to hide these 2 entities from the  "New Activity" options.

Manipulating security role is not possible as dynamics doesn't allow security permissions to be set for individual  activity type . It can only be configured for the parent Activity Entity.
