RMS2.0 Offline mode compatible issue with Windows7 64-bit

I have noticed that a register computer with Windows7 64-bit give a runtime error  when trying to sync offline. windows 7 give a compatibily error when you install rms with sql2005. I always hit "run program" to install it. I guess it a 64-bit Win7 OS and 32-bit RMS isn't compatible.Is their a solution for that?

    Microsoft should be almost finished certifying RMS for 64-bit; although you may then have certain POS peripherals that do not work with 64-bit, and others will need to have their drivers updated. I you have not renewed your annual plan with MS, definitely do so ASAP because you will likely need access to hotfixes for W7 x64.

    Did you run Windows Update after installing RMS?

    The version of SQL 2k5 that ships with RMS is not compatible with Win 7.  You need to update it to Server Pack 3 or a newer version, 2008 or 2008 R2.

    When you run Windows Update, making sure that you have selected the option within Windows Update to up all Microsoft products, it will install Service Pack 3 for SQL 2005.
