As I see your error message, This is not an advanced find and why are you filtering contact type.
For testing purposes,
1. Create a new system View for this entity without any filtering criteria in it
2. In the form where you have this lookup, Choose the system view created in step 1
3. Publish your modifications
4. Try the bulk Edit
