Hi Folks
I just need to install the 2.x RMS Operation Manager software on a back office computer to do some accounting and inventory work. What is the best way to do this so I don't install SO POS and the MS sql database?
Thanks
Danny
I installed "SQL Server 2005 Backward compatability" first and everything worked great. Thanks Mark
Thank you Danny for posting your question about installing RMS; and thank you Mark for answering.

Just a note that Mainstream support for Microsoft Dynamics RMS 2.0 ended on July 10, 2016; and extended support ends on 7/13/2021:
support.microsoft.com/.../search
This is less than 9 months from now; and you can continue using RMS after this date but technical support will not be available.
I would recommend checking with your partner in regard to what they may recommend as a replacement system after the extended support end date.
RMS comes in a package, which installs all 3 (Admin, Manager, POS). Just delete the POS icon and start menu entry. For SQL, just click Skip when it prompts to install SQL, it is an extremely old version anyway. You may also need to install the "SQL Server 2005 Backward compatability" as well if they are using a newer version of SQL.
