Management Reporter - Available Filters

My client is on MR2012 CU16 and when they generate a report they receive the following message in the Browser (Windows Chrome): "The available filters for this report can't be displayed"

The report still generates, but the message is persistent and annoying. In troubleshooting we've attempted the following:

* Tested generating to the Report Viewer - that works but users prefer the browser if possible

* Checked for out of period transactions (By date, period and for blank fiscal years): Nothing found

* Reviewed a similar issue on the GP forum. The forum cited use of unit security and MEM (Multi Entity Management - a GP Binary Stream add-on), neither of which I've apply in this instance

In the past I've seen where browser settings or security needs to be adjusted. Is that the case here? Any suggestions on how to resolve the error? Please advise. Thank you.
